What is something you are optimistic about?

I'm optimistic about this summer. I now have my laptop, which means I'll be able to utilize my time a lot more effectively. I have a great summer job ready, working as assistant to the director of the GPS drama day camp. The job is in Chattanooga, so I'll be in a cool town for most of the summer. My birthday will pass while I'm still in Chattanooga, so for once I might actually be able to spend my birthday with a bunch of my good friends doing something fun.

Speaking of my birthday, this summer I'll turn 18. Finally I'll be an adult. I plan on buying a cigar, and also a lottery ticket just for the hell of it. About 10 days after my birthday I'll return home, where the plan is for me to finally get both my license and a vehicle. Then a week later, I'll be driving down to Georgia Southern to begin college.

I have a lot of hopes for this summer. Mainly, that I'll get closer to a lot of my friends in Chattanooga. It won't be much longer before I won't see most of them very much at all for a very long time. I want to spend the time left to connect with people I haven't spent as much time as I'd like to with.
